Aliri Appoints Dr. Troy Voelker as Chief Scientific Officer to Advance Bioanalytical Innovation Across the Drug Development Lifecycle
October 13, 2026 – Aliri Bioanalysis, a leading provider of precision bioanalytical services for drug developers, today announced the promotion of Dr. Troy Voelker to Chief Scientific Officer. This appointment reflects Aliri’s continued investment in scientific leadership and its commitment to generating high-quality bioanalytical data across the full spectrum of therapeutic modalities, from small molecules to oligonucleotides, antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), antibody-oligonucleotide conjugates (AOCs), and mRNA-based therapeutics.
A recognized leader in the bioanalysis of both small and large molecules, Dr. Voelker has been with Aliri for more than 20 years. Trained as a synthetic organic chemist, with postdoctoral experience in drug development and drug metabolism, Dr. Voelker built his career in regulated small molecule LC-MS/MS bioanalysis, which has been the foundation of Aliri’s scientific expertise. He has also played a critical role in extending that mass spectrometry expertise to newer and more complex modalities. His development of advanced LC-MS/MS and HRMS methodologies has enhanced the sensitivity, selectivity, and accuracy of the pharmacokinetic data that sponsors rely on from discovery through clinical development.
He currently serves as Chair of the AAPS Oligonucleotide Discussion Group within the Bioanalytical Community, has hosted multiple webinars, is routinely invited to present data at industry events, and has authored numerous scientific posters and white papers that equip the broader scientific community with bioanalytical strategies at all stages of development.

Dr. Troy Voelker, Chief Scientific Officer
As Chief Scientific Officer, Dr. Voelker will remain actively engaged in the drug development community, working closely with pharmaceutical partners to understand emerging challenges and unmet needs that will help guide the future of bioanalytical innovation. He will also maintain a strong pulse on the evolving regulatory landscape to ensure that Aliri’s solutions continue to generate scientifically robust, defensible data that support our sponsor’s regulatory goals.
“Troy’s scientific leadership has consistently earned the trust of our sponsors by helping them solve complex bioanalytical challenges and gain the insights needed to advance their development programs,” said Kevin Jones, CEO at Aliri.
“His rare combination of technical expertise, industry influence, and deep understanding of our sponsors’ needs makes him uniquely positioned to shape Aliri’s scientific strategy and bioanalytical service offerings. Under his leadership, we will continue to strengthen our role as a trusted scientific advisor to our partners as they bring the next generation of life-changing therapies to market.“
Commenting on his appointment, Dr. Voelker said:
“Small molecules remain the backbone of many development pipelines, and the rigor we have built in that work is exactly what our sponsors need as their programs expand into oligonucleotides, ADCs, AOCs, mRNA, and other complex modalities. As a CRO, it is our responsibility to innovate alongside our partners. In this expanded role, I am excited to continue pushing the boundaries of LC-MS/MS and HRMS to place regulatory-ready data in our sponsors’ hands and enable confident decisions about the future of their development programs.”
Later this month, at AAPS PharmSci 360, Dr. Voelker will present new LC-MS/MS and HRMS data generated as part of the ongoing Oligonucleotide Ring Trial, a valuable piece of research that will bring clarity to the advantages and strategies of this bioanalytical technique.
Dr. Voelker will also be available for a limited number of one-on-one bioanalytical strategy consultations at Aliri’s booth (#1336). Attendees interested in discussing analytical challenges, emerging modalities, or regulatory considerations can request a meeting here.
